The story behind the photo...Due to the Essence Festival being in Houston, TX...Former NBA Superstar Magic Johnson hosted an ALL WHITE celebrity party at the Westin Galleria. In the VIP area was many NBA and NFL ball players, meetings and greeting their fans...I spoted Darren when he walked in and immediately pulled out my camera...as he walked my way I knew I had the courage to ask him to take a photo with me...and as you can see he did...I politely tapped him on the shoulder and asked if he would take a picture with me and he said "of course"...my friend who took the picture asked who was he and I said Darren Sharper and he said "wow good guess"
